The Writing Template of an African Value System

In the Service of our Ancestors and African Love,
Listen Seeker, I come in peace,

“Utrice Leid was the keynote speaker on August 17, 2013 at Friendship Baptist Church in Harlem. United African Movement was celebrating its 25th anniversary. In her remarks, she noted the correlation between thinking and writing. All of our revered ancestors have either been writers or they have demonstrated an interest in writing.” — Alton H. Maddox, Jr.

In every interracial society on this planet, Africans are on the bottom strata.  How can the mightiest become the lowest?  When we look at these interracial societies, our people are impoverished, dependent and individualistic; misorganized not organized.  We’re either not resisting or ineffectively resisting and it’s apparently universal.  How can it be?  Firstly, all over we’re following non-African value systems.  Why?  We’re living by non-African Realities. What’s part of it?  Our Writing isn’t for our own Thinking.  The African Blood Siblings shares this Writing Template to promote a Thinking Template for our Restoration.  Please share, donate or join.

The Writing Template of an African Value System
By Onitaset Kumat

Introduction

Though Harriet Tubman was born in captivity, her consciousness was more toward liberation than many ‘free born’ today. Values are learned. Yet the common belief is we express our inherent values at all times. This leads to Writing which suggests we are what we express. What this writing reinforces are European or Asian Values in the African Community, which ultimately influences readers to distance themselves from Africa. Here is why the African Blood Siblings shares this Writing Template. The basis of the Template is African Reality and it’s this distinguishing the real from the unreal which makes up African Values. A Writing Template such as this leads the African back to Africa and Pan-Africanism. The template helped to write several posts on the African Blood Siblings Newsletter and it also helped to write this paragraph.

The Template

Images are nearer reality than cold definitions.
Reality: the sum of the laws that govern nature and of the causes from which they flow:
Ignorance: Unconsciousness of Reality:
Error: The Development of Ignorance:
Hate: The Search for Error:
Knowledge: Consciousness of Reality:
Wisdom: The Development of Knowledge:
Love: The Search for Wisdom:

The Inspiration

The Template is nearly identical to “The Ancient Relationship between Knowledge, Wisdom and Love; Ignorance, Error and Hate” with one exception. The proverb “Images are nearer reality than cold definitions” precedes the Ancient Relationship.

The Explanation

The Template’s first proverb is there to remind a Writer that depictions of reality should be Images not Definitions. I.e. in the Introduction, the image of Harriet Tubman being a Warrior notwithstanding her upbringing can be said as “Sociological, Ecological, Psychological and Ideological influences effect one’s Activities” and this is true, but it’s neither a way to start an essay nor a practical sentence without context. The sentence can be deduced after a series of images or even be used in the context of an advanced paper, but generally it’s better to make an image as the work one’s brain uses for an image also gives one a deeper impression, meanwhile the definitions need to be defined and truly that depends less on the writer’s expression and more on the reader’s experiences.

Following the first proverb is “Reality” which is defined as “the sum of laws that govern nature and of the causes from which they flow.” Generally speaking, this is the root of African Values (African Reality.) Though not limited to these, one can either use “Nature” as a depiction of Reality, African Proverbs or general truths one knows to be from, about, pertinent to Africa. The object of the Writer however is to not only show the laws that govern nature but also the causes from which they flow. As in “the sun rises in the sky then sets because the earth spins on an axis to the Sun” or “Many Africans don’t live out their Brave Spirits because they mostly see Cowards among their Race;” both of these express laws of nature as well as the causes.

The next part is the “Ignorance, Error, Hate” chain and the “Knowledge, Wisdom, Love” chain. For both of these “Hate” and “Love” are harder to understand. Hate as the Search for Error and Love as the Search for Wisdom essentially mean what do the Errors and Wisdom communicate to Africans? I.e. Error and Wisdom are the Development of Ignorance and Knowledge respectively or the Development of the Unconsciousness or Consciousness of Reality; so Hate and Love ask what do the Developed form of the Unconsciousness or Consciousness of Reality communicate to African people?

So, after one speaks to the Unconscioussness of Reality (Ignorance) then the Development of that Ignorance (Error) one speaks toward The Search for Error (Hate.) In short, this part explains how one’s Values, grounded outside of our Reality, brings about Vice for our people and therefore needs to be reformed. The next part, Knowledge, Wisdom, Love proposes the reform and shows the results (Love) or African Virtue.

The Application (Explained)

The Introduction was written using the Template. Here’s how:

Images are nearer reality than cold definitions.
Reality: the sum of the laws that govern nature and of the causes from which they flow: Writing teaches Values as Actions follow Ideas. Harriet Tubman.
Ignorance: Unconsciousness of Reality: Apolitical Literature
Error: The Development of Ignorance: European Values
Hate: The Search for Error: Distance from Africa
Knowledge: Consciousness of Reality: Writing Template
Wisdom: The Development of Knowledge: African Values
Love: The Search for Wisdom: Pan-Africanism

Segment by Segment:

Images are nearer reality than cold definitions.
Reality: the sum of the laws that govern nature and of the causes from which they flow: Writing teaches Values as Actions follow Ideas. Harriet Tubman.

Though Harriet Tubman was born in captivity, her consciousness was more toward liberation than many ‘free born’ today. Values are learned.

Ignorance: Unconsciousness of Reality: Apolitical Literature

Yet the common belief is we express our inherent values at all times. This leads to Writing which suggests we are what we express.

Error: The Development of Ignorance: European Values

What this writing reinforces are European Values in the African Community,

Hate: The Search for Error: Distance from Africa

which ultimately influences readers to distance themselves from Africa.

Knowledge: Consciousness of Reality: Writing Template

Here is why the African Blood Siblings shares this Writing Template.

Wisdom: The Development of Knowledge: African Values

The basis of the Template is African Reality and it’s this distinguishing the real from the unreal which makes up African Values.

Love: The Search for Wisdom: Pan-Africanism

A Writing Template such as this leads the African back to Africa and Pan-Africanism. The template helped to write several posts on the African Blood Siblings Newsletter and it also helped to write this paragraph.

Other Applications

African Femininity and Masculinity:

Images are nearer reality than cold definitions.
Reality: the sum of the laws that govern nature and of the causes from which they flow: Gender Roles are Complete for Men and Women Complement–Genitals in Sex
Ignorance: Unconsciousness of Reality: No Gender Roles–Permit Cheapening

Love: The Search for Wisdom: Masculine/Feminine Separated–Nzingha–Mother–Matrilineal . . .Schomburg

The Allegory of the African Frankenstein:

Images are nearer reality than cold definitions.

Ignorance: Unconsciousness of Reality: European Frankenstein killed. Ergo African Frankenstein killed.
Error: The Development of Ignorance: Africans are Enemies.
Hate: The Search for Error: Engage in our own Genocide.
Knowledge: Consciousness of Reality: Knowledge of Self different for Frankensteins.
Wisdom: The Development of Knowledge: Europeans and Asians are Enemies.
Love: The Search for Wisdom: Service our Ancestors and Descendants through Proper War (Unborn)

The Principle Problem of European Television:

Images are nearer reality than cold definitions.
Reality: the sum of the laws that govern nature and of the causes from which they flow: Men need images. Lacking them they invent idols. Better then to found the images on realities that lead the true seeker to the source. — Television saw a Bear raised by men.
Ignorance: Unconsciousness of Reality: Images of Europeans and Africans do not affect Consciousness
Error: The Development of Ignorance: Exposure to Images of Multidimensional Europeans and One-Dimensional Africans
Hate: The Search for Error: Multidimension leads to European Respect and One Dimension leads to African Disrespect
Knowledge: Consciousness of Reality: Images of Europeans and Africans do affect Consciousness
Wisdom: The Development of Knowledge: Exposure to One Dimensional Europeans and Africans
Love: The Search for Wisdom: Europeans regarded as Problems; Africans regarded as Solutions

There are many more examples, but I encourage readers to practice the Writing Template themselves. First practice with paragraphs [like the Introduction] then practice with Essays; eventually other articles of Literature can be written in this way.

The Writing Template can also be used as a Thinking Template.  Any problem of Values can be traced back to “Reality” then Communal “Hate” (Vice) can be reformed into Communal “Love” (Virtue).

      Peace Queen-Mother,

“The first concerning the ‘secrets’: all cognition comes from inside; we are therefore initiated only by ourselves, but the Master gives the keys.
The second concerning the ‘way’: the seeker has need of a Master to guide him and lift him up when he falls, to lead him back to the right way when he strays.
      Understanding develops by degrees.”
      — African Proverb

“Images” is not separate from “Reality.” However the order can either be “Reality, Ignorance, Error, Hate, Knowledge, Wisdom, Love” or the shorter “Reality, Knowledge, Wisdom, Love” or even “Reality, Love” but only because the purpose is to reach to “Love” yet “Understanding develops by degrees.” Any other order won’t lend to development. We go into “Hate” to expose how we have fallen in our Values, but finishing with “Love” and starting with “Reality” requires the order as given.
